If you have a Printer from Brother and you use Pisi Linux here a Printer Driver for the Brother Printer model DCP-135c.
To the first download the Printer Driver from here:
Brother DCP135c-lpr Driver
Plug in your Printer to your USB Port but switch it not on.
Install the 2 Packages with the Quick Installer or open a Terminal in your Folder where the Printer Drivers, and give in the command:
sudo pisi it *.pisi
Note: this command install all Pisi Packages in the Folder
after installing restart the cups server with the command:
sudo service cups restart
Then switch on your Printer and go to System Settings>Printer>and you can configure your Printer, you can do the same with a Webbrowser give in the addressbar the address
in and you can configure your Printer with the cups Page.
Should this not work for you take a look in the User Manager, there must be a hook in lpadmin and lp this this not place a hook there and logout and login, now should it work for you.

Before you install it look that you have the Package Xsane installed.
